  1. Crypt32 is a subsystem that is used by windows and other softwares, Crypt32 likes to go online to the internet to get updated root lists, however if you have a proxy server you have to tell crypt32 to use it.

Use proxysfg.exe tool to amend the windows update key with IE proxy configuration details. Use this command: %SystemRoot%\System32\proxycfg.exe -u

You can refer this site to know more about proxycfg.exe tool.

    http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/proxycfg/28503/

Running the command %SystemRoot%\System32\proxycfg.exe -u on the effected computer(s) will import the Internet Explorer proxy setting so crypt32 can get on the net.

This resolved the issue on my computer(s)...

  2. If you dont want to update the root list, then you can just uninstall this feature from add remove programs ( Go to add remove windows components & uncheck the "Update Root Certificates" checkbox.)
