I have got this error while doing SQL 2008 install on Citrix server running on Windows 2003 SP2.
ReplyDeleteTo fix this issue, you need to create a DWORD key in registry.
Create a Dword key “Disable Performance Counter” and set the value to 0.
Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Perflib
Note: No need to restart. Proceed with SQL install by running the setup.exe
this is not Helpful for Me its copy pest post
