I have a server running with Windows 2003 SP2 with Exchange 2003 server application. We installed Snapdrive, iSCSI initiator, NetApp ONTAP MPIO applications...Prerequisite for installing ONTAP MPIO application is dot.net framework 3.0SP2. After installing dot.net framework 3.0SP2, we are facing problem while restarting the service "Net.Tcp Port Sharing Service". This service is not starting at all.
It is throwing error: Error 1067, process terminated unexpectedly.
Solution:
We noticed this service is running with ‘Local Service’ account not with any domain account. We gave the write permission to the framework v2.0 and v3.0 folders to the ‘Local service’, but that did not work. We tried giving *read* permission to the Local Service on C: driver and after that everything worked fine. We tested the solution on two servers, and it worked fine on both.
