When users click on send or receive, it will end up in error "0x80004005 : The operation failed" which in result they wont be able to receive new e-mails.
Try this step:
In order to receive e-mails, Please disable the mail notification settings in Outlook.
To disable New-Mail notifications, follow these steps:
In Outlook, click Options on the Tools menu, and then click the Preferences tab.
Click E-mail Options, and then click to clear the Display a notification message when new mail arrives check box
Click OK two times.

ReplyDeleteI am no wizard .. but this problem was a night mare for me at work. I tried everything to fixed , i talking everything. Th fix i came up with was to back up all your stuff contacts, rules, trusted sender blocked senders, and the pst file. Then after that take a breath and del the account in outlook . Exit outlook then restart outlook add new account .when adding the account make your pick your save pst. then restore all your back up ... happy email . i hope this helps someone out there.
